Meet Our Birth Doula...

Ok, labor is still kinda far away for Casey and I, but the "reality" of it is becoming very clear to me. Needless to say I'm nervous! I know it's going to kill, but apart of me is kinda excited to experience it. To aid us in the labor experience we have hired (ok not really hired, but asked) Caylan, Casey's sister to use her doula expertise to assist us in the whole process. Caylan went through a training to be a licensed doula. A doula is basically a birthing coach. She will be there before and after Ruby's birth to help us with the whole birth and postpartum phases of labor. Check out her website for more details on her services at www.oregonbirthdoula.com . It's pretty excited what she is going to be doing for us and her little niece to be, we appreciate it so much.

VandenBos News...

Yesterday marked the start of a new adventure in my life...I along with another ex-dancer Alex are the newest Explosion Dance Team coaches, at LHS. Talk about busy, but very exciting. Little Ruby loved the loud music and was not ready for bed when I was after three hours of practice...she wanted to keep dancin!!! Casey got a kick out of feeling her rolling around in my tummy. I think she was practicing the routine all night long! Anyway just wanted to let everyone know what was happening in the world of the VandenBos'! Until next time... :)

Dear Husband,

I thought that this might be the best way to communicate with you since you work so much! Thank you for being awesome. I love you more than you will ever know, and I'm so lucky to be carrying your child! I miss you wish you didn't have to work so much, but I appreciate your selflessness.

Love ya! xoxo
