Another Birthday...

This time was daddy's turn. We had a great 3 day weekend with the birthday boy and we ended it with a nice dinner in celebration of Casey's 27th birthday.

Yes I cropped myself out of this photo, and yes the shadow on the bottom is not the best...I just loved the matching faces. Ruby is quite the daddy's girl as of late. They have so much fun together.

Ruby turned 2...

Almost 2...

I really can't believe she is almost 2! Today marks a huge experience for her....her 1st professional haircut! For some reason I'm really sad about this. I know she is in major need but, come on it's cutting all her sweet baby hair off. It's hard for a mama. I'll post some pictures of the new "Ruby" later today. Hopefully I don't cry :(

backyard updates....

Ok so there are some missing pics....it took a LOT of racking, tilling, shoveling to get our backyard "level". Casey, Eddie, Abe, Tony, and my dad all worked so hard to get our backyard ready to seed. Thanks guys...

You can see the back portion of our backyard is now Gus and Dax's area. I'm excited to have a nice backyard for Ruby and Finn to play in next spring!!!

We still have a lot to do....plant shrubs to hide fence, plant shrubs to hide neighbors house (I like my privacy), fire pit, play area, and build a pergola over our patio for shade :)

It's a great since of accomplishment to get some much needed work down on our outside portion of our house. Casey really has worked very hard and I'm loving the progress :)

So it's been awhile, sorry. I guess we've been busy/lazy. Here is a quick re-cap from the last month...

Since we blogged last Casey and I celebrated our 4th anniversary. We had a great relaxing weekend. We ate a lot and slept in!!! This pic is really old I just found it I think it was my brothers college graduation celebration. We've been together for so long! Love you babe
This last month we also took our first family camping trip. I hadn't been camping since high school so I was pretty excited. We had a ton of fun and Ruby enjoyed getting dirty. I think the experience would have been slightly better had the campground had showers and flushing toilets. We really roughed it :) Here's a couple pics. I always forgot my camera when we went down fishing. Ruby really enjoyed fishing with Daddy

Also Casey and his dad have been super busy working on our backyard. They've put up a fence to give our dogs a little dog run area, and they've prepared the yard to plant our grass seed on Sunday. I'm super excited to have a nice level yard for Ruby and Finn to play on next summer. I'll post pics of our growing grass :)

Pregnancy is going fine. I'm ready to meet the little man. I feel like everything keeps expanding, so I'm really ready to get back in shape. Dance is keeping me super busy, but I enjoy almost every moment of it.

Ruby is growing up. She is doing really well with potty training. It's just nap and bed time that seem to be the hardest for her. It's funny she can sing her ABC's, count to 20, identify almost every object she's ever been introduced to but, she can not seem to get her colors down. It's almost comical. When asked what color something is she usually says..."green, white, purple, red.." and then looks at you like "am I right?" So cute!

Nalia Rain....

Sweet little Nalia is not so little anymore, she turned 3!!! I can't even believe it. We had fun celebrating with her at the train park (no pictures...my camera was dead and I didn't know :( ), and at Nana's house. Thanks for hosting us, Ruby loved it!!

So....

Here is a brief look into my (Jessica's) thoughts as of late....

1. I'm ONLY 25 weeks pregnant! I'm so ready for Finn to be here, and I have a long, long, long time to wait.

2. Mark my words....unless someone like Brad Paisley comes to the Jamboree next year I am NOT going. I can't stand the heat, I think I should move north, like way north....Alaska?!?!

3. Ruby's schedule is way off, which makes for one tired little lady. She's been waking up at least 2 times a night. Ugh, why?? Maybe she's growing....maybe she senses a baby coming....who knows, but I would love for her to go back to her old schedule :)

4. Ruby is 80% potty trained....only wears diapers to bed and sometimes when I'm too chicken to venture out with just panties. It's nice not having to change diapers all day long! She's really good at going #2 in potty chair, I haven't changed a #2 diaper in weeks :)

5. Some people..... a women whom I see very frequently (she works at bucks, so at least weekly) told me and I quote...."let me guess, you're due next week"........WHAT!! are you serious? I was speechless....I really hope I don't look that pregnant already I've got 3 more months people! She tried to cover up her bad comment by telling me that I carry really low, and it looks like I've dropped....hahahahaha

6. I hate painting! Thank goodness for my brother in-law. We've wanted to paint our house (outside) for awhile now and thanks to Trav it's done! And the best part is it cost us ...... $0 :) free paint and free labor yahoooo. Thanks again Travis, Tony and Eddie. We appreciate all your free labor :)

7. I'm pretty excited to get our backyard project started. It'll be nice to have a yard again.

8. Dance officially starts Monday! I'm really excited to start working with my new team. Although I'm having morning practices so we will see how much I like those :(

9. Did I mention I wish it was November :)
